We design, secure and look after UniFi networks.
Remotely, anywhere in Canada. Hands on, in Calgary.
My home
Cameras that show a face and not a shape. Wi-Fi that works upstairs. One app for the whole house, and a plan you keep.
My business or practice
Clinics, offices and pharmacies. Patient records sit on their own network, away from guest Wi-Fi. Every door logs who opened it. You get paperwork you can hand to an auditor.
My site or plant
Warehouses, yards and plants. Long cable runs and rough conditions. The network has to stay up, because the work stops when it does not.
Answer a few questions. See your system before you speak to anyone.
No email, no account, no call at the end of it. Twelve screens at most. Most people answer seven to nine, because it skips whatever does not apply to you. At the end you get a real system, with real hardware and a real price band.
Where is this going?
This decides everything after it, so it is the only question with no wrong answer.
Three builds. The middle one is the recommendation.
You said this is a home of about 2,000 square feet, and that cameras are a maybe rather than a yes. So the middle build leaves room for them and charges you nothing for it.
- Cloud Gateway and 8 port PoE switch
- 2 access points
- No camera headroom
- Hardware from $1,180
- Dream Machine Pro, 16 port PoE
- 3 access points
- PoE budget and bays left free for 4 cameras
- Hardware from $2,340
- Dream Machine Pro, 24 port PoE
- 4 access points, 4 cameras, 6TB
- Door access ready
- Hardware from $4,910
Want this build emailed to you?
One line and it is on its way. We send the gear list and the price band, and tell you if a price on it moves. Nothing else, and one click to stop.
Hardware is quoted at Ubiquiti’s price. Install is quoted from your design, never guessed from a web form.
What you are actually buying.
UniFi is one system with one login. You do not buy six products from six different companies and hope they work together. These are the parts. The questionnaire above asks which ones you want now, which are a maybe, and which you will never want.
UniFi Network
The routing and the switching. It also sets up VLANs, which keep groups of devices in their own separate lanes. Get this part right and the rest behaves.
UniFi Protect
Cameras and recording, with no monthly fee and no cloud subscription. The video stays on your own recorder, in your own building.
UniFi Access
Doors, card readers, and a record of who went through which door and when. That record is what an inspection asks to see.
UniFi Talk
Phones on the same system. You keep your number if you switch phone company or move to a new building.
UniFi Identity
One login per person for Wi-Fi, doors, and the VPN staff use to connect from home. When someone leaves, you remove them once.
UniFi Connect
Screens and signage run from the same console, for waiting rooms and lobbies.
The whole catalogue, at Ubiquiti’s price.
Ubiquiti’s memory surcharge is invisible on their product pages and only shows up in the cart. We read it out of the cart and publish the all-in figure, because that is the number you actually pay us. Every line below is what we would charge you for that part. Nothing is added. These are Canadian store prices. If you are in the United States we quote from Ubiquiti’s US store, where some products, mainly cameras and door access hardware, also carry a tariff surcharge. Same rule either way: their price, nothing added.

Some products carry no Ubiquiti surcharge at all, and it is not predictable from the category. We read every line before we quote it. We never calculate it.
We order the hardware for you.
This list is here so you can check our numbers. It is not a shopping list for you. A UniFi build is almost never just the boxes. It is the adapters, the mounts, the keystones, the right patch cable, and the power injector the box does not come with. One missing part turns an install day into a second visit. We order the whole list against the finished design, so what turns up is complete and correct. If Ubiquiti is out of stock we can usually bring the part in through our suppliers instead. Ubiquiti hardware goes on your quote at Ubiquiti’s own published price.
Hardware is settled by e-transfer or bank wire once you approve the quote, and ordered the same day. Design, labour and support are what we charge for.
See what the work costsRacks we built. Runs we labelled. Traces we kept.
Every job leaves with the same photographs and the paperwork to match. We measure the fibre rather than assume it. We comb the cable runs rather than bundle them. And we leave a rack you would be happy to open in front of anyone.
Rack, built and dressed
Every run landed
Combed, not bundled
We measure
Access, commissioned
Every run is certified, not just tested.
A permanent link certification from a hotel tower in Calgary, run on a Fluke Versiv DSX-5000. Every jack in that building was terminated by hand and certified, and this is one of them. The report records the standard the cable was held to, the length against the 90 metre limit, the headroom in decibels, the wire map and the insertion loss curve. You get one of these for every drop we install, and they are yours to keep.
We did not ask for any of these.
“He was the only person who quoted on our ethernet retrofit who spent time really problem solving the situation at the quote. He looked at every different angle and took the one that was efficient and caused the least amount of damage.”
“He even gave us a free access point that he didn’t need on a job so we could get our wifi better extended to the garage. Just because. Absolute class act.”
“Fair and honest pricing, with excellent communication from start to finish. They understood exactly what I wanted, took the time to explain what I needed, and helped identify gaps in my current security system that I hadn’t considered.”
“Communication with tec was professional. Understood the problem, remotely fixed the issues. Thank you.”
Google’s own summary of these reviews picks out one word before any other. It is communication.

Whatever the size of the job, one name is on it.
You will never be handed between departments, and you will never be told that somebody else looked after that part.
Mark Caya founded AVNFi and holds its Ubiquiti certifications. He does the design on every job. That is why the plan you are shown and the system you end up with are the same thing. On larger work he runs alongside a licensed master electrician and extra low voltage hands. AVNFi is also building a registered contractor network across Canada, so installs outside Calgary are built to the same drawings and the same paperwork standard.
The design assessment exists so you can see the whole system on paper before you spend anything on hardware. If you take that plan and build it with someone else, that is fine. We would rather tell you that you do not need something than sell it to you.
Network first. The trades that make it possible, second.
We lead with the network because it is what we are certified in. But a network also needs power, pathways and fibre. We would rather do those ourselves than coordinate three people who have never met.
Commercial electrical
Worked with a licensed master electrician.
Structured cabling
Labelled, tested, certified, documented.
Fibre splicing and OTDR
We fuse fibre ends together, and you keep the test traces.
Cable pulling
Pathways into places that fought back.
Cameras and access
Protect and Access on one console.
Security trailers
Site cameras on a trailer, for rent.
Audio
The A and the V in AVNFi.
Remote consulting
Design and setup, anywhere in Canada.
A designed system on paper, before you spend anything on hardware.
- Your floor plan, drawn to scale. Designed from your own drawings at no extra cost. If you have none, a site scan is available as a separate add-on.
- Every camera placed, with the exact view it covers marked on that plan. You see what is covered and what is not before anything goes on a wall.
- A Wi-Fi coverage plan, including pushing signal out to the property line if you want it.
- An exact device list with all-in Ubiquiti pricing, so the install quote is built from a finished design rather than a guess.
- The plan loaded into your own UniFi console using InnerSpace, so you keep a live map of your building with coverage on it.
You keep the plan either way
Go ahead within 60 days and the full $299 comes off your install. Decide not to, and the plan is yours to keep, or to hand to another installer. We would rather you had a good system than that we built it.
- You pick a time and payConfirmation and a calendar invite land immediately. No phone tag.
- We walk the building, or you send drawingsUsually under an hour on site. Remote jobs work from your plans and photos.
- You get the designFloor plan, camera placements, coverage, device list and pricing. Typically within a week.
- The quote comes from the designPriced off a finished plan, so the number holds. Then you decide, with no pressure and no expiry games.
Every tier is credited against your install if you go ahead within 60 days. If you do not, the plan is yours.
Have drawings? You pay nothing extra. We design from your building plans, blueprints or electrical drawings, and that is always the cheapest and most accurate route.
If you have no usable drawings we can scan the building instead, billed separately at $249 flat on home and office, or $100 per hour with a two hour minimum above that. It is never included in a tier and never refunded, because it is time on site either way.
