Modern business calling built on the UniFi platform—installed, configured, and tested for reliable daily use. Ideal for home offices and small businesses that want a clean phone system without PBX headaches.
Overview
UniFi Talk is Ubiquiti’s VoIP phone system designed to run inside the UniFi ecosystem. That means one dashboard for your network and phones, simple administration, and a setup that can scale as you add staff or locations.
AVNFi designs and installs UniFi Talk systems in Calgary, AB with a focus on:
- reliable call quality (low jitter, low packet loss)
- simple call routing (main line, ring groups, after-hours rules)
- clean installs (PoE switching, labeling, documentation)
- secure network design (segmentation when appropriate)

Why call quality fails (and how we prevent it)
Most “VoIP problems” aren’t the phone—they’re the network.
We verify the fundamentals:
- stable WAN handoff (avoid double‑NAT when possible)
- adequate upload bandwidth for peak usage
- LAN health (no loops, overloaded switches, or PoE issues)
- Wi‑Fi design (if any phones will roam on wireless)
Then we tune the system so calls stay stable even when the network is busy.
Typical UniFi Talk setups we deploy
- 1 main number + multiple phones (ring group)
- Main number + direct lines for key staff
- After-hours routing (voicemail, alternate ring group, or forward)
- Call menu / attendant for basic department routing
- Multi-site UniFi environments (consistent management across locations)
Pricing and packages
We keep pricing simple and transparent:
- Minimum setup charge (planning + base configuration + testing)
- Per phone set (each phone provisioned, assigned, and tested)
- Optional add-ons (porting coordination, call menus, documentation, training)

FAQ
Do I need a UniFi Console?
Yes—UniFi Talk runs on a compatible UniFi Console. We’ll confirm the right model for your environment.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
Often yes. Number porting depends on your current provider and the target service. We can guide the process.
Is UniFi Talk billed per phone or per number?
UniFi Talk subscriptions are typically per number. Many offices can share a main number across multiple phones using groups (depending on your call flow needs).
Do phones need PoE?
Most desk phones are best powered with PoE from a switch for reliability and clean cabling.
Can you make it “business-grade”?
Yes—this is exactly where we focus: network segmentation, stable switching/PoE, UPS recommendations, and clean documentation.
