RadioRA 3 qualified installer
AVNFi has completed Lutron’s RadioRA 3 qualification through the Lutron Lighting Control Institute (November 2026). RadioRA 3 is sold and programmed only by Lutron-qualified professionals. The qualification gives us access to Lutron Designer, the professional software every RadioRA 3 system is designed, programmed and commissioned in.
Lutron PRO, buying through the authorized channel
AVNFi is a member of Lutron’s PRO program and buys through Lutron’s authorized Canadian distribution. Lutron honours its product warranty on product bought from an authorized seller. Product bought from third-party online marketplaces can be refused. Buy it from us and the warranty is in place from day one.
AVNFi Inc. is an independent installer. We are not Lutron Electronics and do not speak for Lutron. Our qualification is for RadioRA 3 and the Caseta line. We will always tell you which Lutron system a project needs and whether it is one we install.
The lights work even when the internet does not.
Most smart switches live on your Wi-Fi, and fail with it. Lutron runs its own wireless network built only for lighting and shades, separate from your Wi-Fi. The processor in your rack talks to every switch and shade directly. If the internet drops, every scene, schedule and keypad keeps working.
- Clear Connect radio. Lutron’s own wireless: Type A in the 434 MHz band, and Type X, a 2.4 GHz mesh that is not Wi-Fi. Fewer devices fighting for the same air.
- Dimming that does not flicker. LED dimming is where cheap switches fail: buzzing, flicker, lights that pop on at 20 percent. Lutron dimmers are tuned for LED loads, and we check every fixture against Lutron’s compatibility tool before it goes on a quote.
- Built to be replaced in decades, not years. A Lutron system grows from one room to the whole house on the same platform, and existing RadioRA 2 systems can be brought forward.
- Installed on a network we built. The processor is wired to a PoE switch port, given a reserved address and kept clear of Wi-Fi access points. We plan your Wi-Fi channels around it. That is the part most lighting installers leave to chance.

The easy start. Smart dimmers and switches, wireless Pico remotes you can mount anywhere, and an app on your phone. Right for a condo, a main floor, or the first few rooms of a bigger plan.

Sunnata dimmers and switches
RadioRA 3’s design line. A touch light bar shows the level and adjusts it, a tap goes to full, and companion dimmers and switches handle three-way and multi-location without extra radio devices.
Sunnata fan control
Four-speed quiet control for a paddle-style ceiling fan, with a matching Pico remote for the bedside.
Caseta smart dimmers and switches
Smart dimmers, switches and fan controls for Caseta, including Diva smart dimmers.
Plug-in and outdoor control
Plug-in lamp dimmers and appliance modules for lamps and decor, and an IP66 outdoor plug for patio lights and seasonal lighting. No wiring at all.
Everyday Lutron controls
Diva dimmers with Night Mode, humidity-sensing bath fan switches, countdown timers and occupancy switches, for the rooms that do not need to be on the system but should still match.
Wallplates, receptacles and USB
Claro screwless wallplates in 26 colours, plus colour-matched receptacles and USB-A and USB-C charging receptacles, so every plate on the wall matches.
Keypads and remotes
Sunnata keypads
Two, three and four-button keypads with soft white indicators showing which scene is on. Engraved with words you choose: Welcome, Dinner, Movie, Goodnight.
Sunnata hybrid keypads
A dimmer and a keypad in one. Ideal for a retrofit: replace the switch by the door and that one spot now controls the room, the hallway and the whole floor.
seeTouch keypads
Up to ten-button wall keypads with field-swappable button kits, and seeTouch tabletop keypads for the kitchen island, media room or bedside.
Pico wireless remotes
Battery remotes that last years. Mount one on a wallplate where a switch should have been, stand it on a table pedestal, or clip it to a car visor and arrive to a lit house.
Pico for Sonos
A Pico remote that runs any Sonos speaker: play, pause, skip, volume and a favourite station, from a button on the wall.
Custom engraving
Factory icons for lights, shades and fans, or custom-engraved text on keypads and Picos, so nobody has to guess what a button does.
The Lutron network: processors, hubs and repeaters
RadioRA 3 processor
The brain of the system and Lutron’s own wireless access point, speaking both Clear Connect radios. Powered by PoE from the network switch, shelf or ceiling mounted. Larger homes use up to four.
Caseta Smart Hub and Smart Hub PRO
Wired to your router, the hub runs the Caseta radio network and connects it to the app, voice assistants and Sonos.
Repeaters
Extend Lutron’s radio to a detached garage, a far bedroom wing or a basement suite. We plan their positions on the floor plan before anything is installed.
Lighting
Lumaris downlights
Lutron’s own tunable-white downlights, 4 and 6 inch, canless or retrofit. From a warm 1,800 K evening glow to crisp 4,000 K, dimming smoothly down to 0.1 percent, each one individually controlled on RadioRA 3.
Lumaris tape light
Tunable-white, RGB plus tunable-white, and daylight tape for coves, under-cabinet, stairs and toe kicks. Field-cuttable and controlled natively on RadioRA 3.
Fixture modules
Small RF modules that mount at a fixture or junction box to switch or 0-10 V dim a light, or give a dry contact to a gate, fireplace or HVAC system.
Commercial LED drivers and retrofits
Lutron LED drivers and fluorescent-to-LED retrofit kits for offices and retail, dimmed smoothly instead of switched.

Motorized shades that move with the sun.
Lutron shades are one of the best reasons to choose Lutron. They are near silent, they line up perfectly across a wall of windows, and on RadioRA 3 they run on the same keypads and scenes as the lights. Battery-powered models install without new wiring.

- Natural Light Optimization on RadioRA 3 uses your home’s location and each window’s direction to close shades in direct sun and open them when the sun has moved on. Less glare, less heat, faded floors protected.
- Samples at your kitchen table. We bring fabric samples to the design visit so you choose colour and opacity in your own light.
- Measured once, properly. We measure with Lutron’s precision measuring tools so the shades arrive the right size.

Upgrading RadioRA 2
The RadioRA 3 processor works with most RadioRA 2 devices, so many RadioRA 2 homes can move to RadioRA 3 without replacing every switch and keypad. We survey what you have and tell you what carries over.
Outgrowing Caseta
Picos and wireless shades carry over when a Caseta home moves to RadioRA 3. Start small, and nothing you buy now is wasted later.

- Design. We walk the home, plan every keypad, dimmer, sensor and shade room by room, and check every light fixture for dimming compatibility.
- Supply. Lutron product through the authorized channel, with the warranty that comes with it.
- Install. Switches, keypads, processors, sensors, remotes and shades installed, labelled and tested.
- Program. Scenes, schedules, keypad engraving, shade positions and sun tracking, programmed in Lutron Designer the way you actually live.
- Network. The processor wired, addressed and protected, with your Wi-Fi planned around Lutron’s radio.
- Hand over and support. A walk-through for everyone in the house, the app set up on every phone, and remote access so a change is a phone call, not a truck roll.
New build? Plan the keypads before the drywall.
Keypad locations, shade pockets, low-voltage runs to the windows and a home run for the processor are cheap while the walls are open and expensive after. Bring us in at the framing stage. See the pre-drywall wiring plan.
What people ask before a Lutron install.
Are you an authorized Lutron installer?
AVNFi is a Lutron PRO, has completed Lutron’s RadioRA 3 qualification, and buys through Lutron’s authorized Canadian distribution. We are an independent company, not Lutron itself.
Do I need new wiring?
Usually not. Most Lutron dimmers replace the switch you have now, Pico remotes need no wiring, and battery shades mount to the window frame.
Will it work if my internet goes down?
Yes. Lutron’s processor and hub control the lights and shades locally over Lutron’s own radio. The internet is needed only for remote access from outside the home and for voice assistants.
Can I start with a few rooms?
Yes. Start with Caseta in the rooms that matter most. Picos and wireless shades carry over if you move to RadioRA 3 later.
Do you install HomeWorks?
Our Lutron qualification is RadioRA 3. HomeWorks, Lutron’s top-tier system, has its own certification. If your project calls for HomeWorks, we will tell you at the design stage rather than after.
Does Lutron work with Apple Home, Alexa, Google and Sonos?
Yes. Caseta and RadioRA 3 work with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Home, and a Pico remote can run your Sonos speakers. We set up the integrations you want during programming.
What does it cost?
It depends on the number of rooms, keypads and windows. A design visit produces a room-by-room plan and a fixed quote with every Lutron part listed.
Tell us about the house.
How many rooms, whether it is a new build or a renovation, and whether shades are on the list. That is enough for us to bring the right samples and keypads to the first visit.
